This weekend I had my fellow photog friends Julie Harnage and Melissa Holcomb up to the gorgeous mountains of Cashiers, NC for a maternity shootout extravaganza!  We had such a great time and got some incredible shots…..I must say…..Julie did an amazing job modeling for us!

I think this one is my favorite so far….

You wouldn’t believe what a few photographers will do for a cool background shot…..we waded into the Ocoee River at up to about waist level with our cameras held over our heads across slippery rocks for this one!

Meet Amber and Scott!  I’m so happy to introduce you to this fabulous couple.  Amber is a personal trainer and I had the misfortune…..I mean …..uh…..fortune of meeting her via her business Cafe Physique.  I signed up for a regular butt kicking twice a week for several months prior to my wedding with Amber.  Café Physique specializes in studio and in-home personal training, wellness coaching, private yoga & pilates and customized nutrition counseling.  Their programs are designed to meet the healthy lifestyle needs of clients in the privacy of their homes or in Café Physique’s private in town studio.  She will turn your living room into a state of the art training facility!

Amber and Scott- I’m so glad you two have found one another.  You were such a blast to work with and obviously have a strong love for one another.  Enjoy your images below!

Ahhh……the wide open spaces of South Atlanta Flickr.  The talented Jason Morrison and Julie Harnage were nice enough to put together a fabulous afternoon for their photography friends and models.  With the use of three different studio setups and a little walk around the square in Locust Grove we were able get a great variety of shots.  This was a great experience (even though I was exhausted from yard work all morning) and  look forward to the next shoot (without the morning of yard work before the shoot).  : )

I’ve been wanting now for several months to get to the “Prison Farm” in East Atlanta.  After several email exchanges with Flickr friends we got a group organized to go and were blocked by city employees at the entrance.  However, we found a great alternative.  This is an old abandoned bank in the same part of town.  Enjoy the pictures of Reggie, Aglae, and my Flickr friends.  The first picture was taken with my camera, so I had to improvise to look like a photographer (that’s me in the bottom right corner)!

Anything is possible…..perhaps even her own mascara commercials one day!  This little cutie was so much fun to work with and she was absolutely in love with Rob.  Whenever we couldn’t get her to smile we just put Rob in front of her and she just lit up.  It was hysterical!  Sorry it has been so long since I have updated the blog.  I’ve been so busy getting new jobs lined up, editing previous shoots, burning discs for clients, etc. that I’ve fallen behind on the blog.  Good news is I have lots of new images to post, so stay tuned!

This Sunday we went to meet a family just south of Atlanta and had a ball.  What a fabulous (and gorgeous) family.  Birds were chirping, the sun was shining, and the camera was clicking!  Thanks so much for a wonderful day guys!  We can’t wait to get together again!  Here are a few sneak peeks from our session…

I ventured out this past weekend to Nash Farm just 30 miles south of Atlanta.  This is the first time I have met the South Atlanta Flickr Organization.  What a fantastic location and an incredible group of people.  Nash Farm is quiet, beautiful, and filled with endless photographic possibilities.  I’m very proud of this last set of photos.  Here are the first few edited pieces with our lovely model Rachel.

I honestly consider our meeting Matt and Kelly several months ago some sort of cosmic connection…..we’re having so much fun getting to know them and are having a great time tagging along to photograph the concerts Matt is reviewing for Hidden Track.  I went to see my first performance of Keller Williams at the Variety Playhouse this past Saturday night to take some shots to accompany Matt’s article.  Keller was incredible…….there are few things that actually make me remove myself from the camera while shooting and stop to say, “Wow”…….I did this several times throughout the evening.  I’ve never heard anyone wear out a guitar so beautifully in my life.  I highly suggest checking him out the next time he has a show near you!  Enjoy a few pictures from the show below and read Matt’s review in Hidden Track  here.

So, I’d like to start by saying what a trooper my friend Kelly was this weekend. I wanted to experiment with some flash techniques and she needed headshots, so we bartered. I’ll do headshots for you if you will be my “model” for my flash experiments. So, we met up with Deb (fellow friend and photographer) in Freedom Park, set up our gear, and proceeded to shoot. A few minutes into our shoot it started snowing…..poor Kelly. Here she is in a short dress, no coat, sitting on the ground, and being gorgeous… Rob stood in as our assistant (he’s so good to me) and neither of them complained once. For you northerner’s out there…..you have to look REALLY closely to see the flakes of snow….

After our shoot at the Park we met up with Kelly’s husband Matt. Matt writes an incredible music blog called Musical Stew Daily and also does some freelance writing for Hidden Track and Glide Magazine. On Saturday night Matt needed some photographs to accompany an article he was writing for Hidden Track covering the Perpetual Groove show at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta. Look for Matt’s review here.  Below are a few images from the show.

Tuesday night I went to check out the Atlanta Photography Guild (APG) at the Elliott Street Pub with my good friend Deb (otherwise known as the Pixel Fairy Princess).

The APG was started by Marc Turnley and is a great way to meet fellow photographers in Atlanta. Every two weeks Marc organizes a few models to come and look gorgeous and the photographers each pay $10 to shoot. The models get to build their portfolio up and the photographers get to build their portfolio up as well! What a great idea, huh??? Here are a couple of pics from Tuesday night.
