I’d like to thank Marc Turnley for dragging me on the other side of the camera for once and capturing this shot last night……I have very few pictures of myself with a camera in hand and I love this one!  It cracks me up that you can see the mud all over my jeans from laying on my stomach in the road for this shoot (no worries…..it was blocked off from oncoming traffic) .

Hey everyone- Things have been busy around here!  I’m trying to decide on a new logo (to be revealed soon) and am learning the conversion from PC to Mac…..I just recently purchased a MacBook Pro.  I’ve decided to name her Gwenyth (hey…..if Gwenyth Paltrow can name her daughter Apple I can name my Apple Gwenyth, right?).  Gwenyth and I have been hanging out a lot together lately.

Anywho….we had a great time last weekend at Bonnie and Jan’s house.  Jan is working on creating some metal sculptures and wanted some pictures for his website, so we played camera last Sunday.  It was great hanging out with Bonnie, Jan, and their son Will.  They are such a fun and creative family.  Bonnie and Jan launched Zenith Design Group together over 10 years ago and have been incredibly successful with their full service marketing company.  Enjoy the pics of Jan’s art and of him hamming it up for the camera.  He is so easy to photograph…….I love it when people are creative and will tell you what they really want out of their images.  It really takes the pressure off of me and ensures that they get what they REALLY want!

The more I get to know this group…..the more I adore this group.  Talk about a wealth of information, great variety of members, and an incredibly talented group of people.  Their willingness to share information instead of hoarding it for their own benefit is probably my favorite attribute.  If any of you out there are aspiring photographers this is a fantastic group to join.  You can find them on Flickr at . This group meets every other Tuesday at Elliott Street Pub near The Dome in Atlanta.  The organizer, Marc Turnley, hires models wanting to build their portfolios and photographers come from all over Atlanta to practice their craft.  After each shoot we all upload our pictures on Flickr (a photo sharing service through Yahoo) and the photographer’s vote on their favorite shot.  I couldn’t have been more excited when I won “shot of the week” after my first meeting……I was literally on top of the world!  To have other photographers actually vote for my photo over some of the talented photographer’s in the room really meant an incredible amount.   On another exciting note……I won the  Atlanta Photography Guild’s “Shot of the Week” for the second time in a row!  I know!  What????? The first picture is the winner from last week and the rest are from our shoot on 2.10.09.  Enjoy!

This past Saturday I hung out with my friend Deb at the train tracks that are adjacent to her home in Cobb County.  Deb had arranged for Aglae (we met her through the Atlanta Photography Guild) to model for us while we played camera.  Aglae is one of those strikingly beautiful women that have no idea just how gorgeous they are……she’s such a sweetheart and will be missed.  Aglae is moving to California (today actually) to pursue her education.  Good luck Aglae!img_8934

I honestly consider our meeting Matt and Kelly several months ago some sort of cosmic connection…..we’re having so much fun getting to know them and are having a great time tagging along to photograph the concerts Matt is reviewing for Hidden Track.  I went to see my first performance of Keller Williams at the Variety Playhouse this past Saturday night to take some shots to accompany Matt’s article.  Keller was incredible…….there are few things that actually make me remove myself from the camera while shooting and stop to say, “Wow”…….I did this several times throughout the evening.  I’ve never heard anyone wear out a guitar so beautifully in my life.  I highly suggest checking him out the next time he has a show near you!  Enjoy a few pictures from the show below and read Matt’s review in Hidden Track  here.
