Thought some of you might enjoy a video that a friend and fellow photog sent out today. Jason Morrison, otherwise know to me as “Dubtastic” posted this video he created today to Facebook. Jason is a fantastic photographer and all around great guy. He has been active in photography for about 5 years, mixing in his background and professional experience as a graphic designer. His post production skills are I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. I was lucky to meet Jason at a South Atlanta Flickr meeting at Nash Farm Battlefield earlier this year. The video and shoot was all done in and around Studio 42 in Locust Grove, Georgia. I can’t recommend this studio enough. I was out there last weekend for a shoot and had a great experience. I love having a studio that you can shoot in and then walk outside to some other interesting locations! Enjoy the movie!

OneLight Wonderment…..
Posted in atlanta, fashion, model shoot, Workshop, tagged atlanta, clouds, fashion photography, Georgia, OneLight Workshop, photography, sky, strobist, Zack Arias on July 9, 2009| 5 Comments »
The OneLight workshop was incredible. Zack Arias’s approachable down to earth attitude was really refreshing. The philosophy behind the workshop is simple. Learn all you can do with just one light, the use of some different modifiers, and full manual settings and master it. Zack goes through all of his modifiers, lighting equipment, and techniques in a very hands on manner with a small group (there were 12 people in our workshop) until all of your questions are answered…….seriously…….we were there until 3am. This workshop was money well spent for me. I would highly recommend his workshops to any intermediate level photographers out there, but you better sign up early…….all of his workshops are selling out. Enjoy the pics!

South Atlanta Model Shoot 5.3.09

Ahhh……the wide open spaces of South Atlanta Flickr. The talented Jason Morrison and Julie Harnage were nice enough to put together a fabulous afternoon for their photography friends and models. With the use of three different studio setups and a little walk around the square in Locust Grove we were able get a great variety of shots. This was a great experience (even though I was exhausted from yard work all morning) and look forward to the next shoot (without the morning of yard work before the shoot). : )
As I continue to edit I’ll keep adding more!
Banking

I’ve been wanting now for several months to get to the “Prison Farm” in East Atlanta. After several email exchanges with Flickr friends we got a group organized to go and were blocked by city employees at the entrance. However, we found a great alternative. This is an old abandoned bank in the same part of town. Enjoy the pictures of Reggie, Aglae, and my Flickr friends. The first picture was taken with my camera, so I had to improvise to look like a photographer (that’s me in the bottom right corner)!
More pics to come…..stay tuned!
