I spent some time a few weeks ago with some musician friends during one of their recording sessions.  I’d met Leah a couple of times before through some close friends of ours, Cameron & Russell Cook of Little Country Giants after we asked them to play at our wedding. We asked if they could find someone to play violin in the wedding band and they, naturally, chose to have their friend Leah Calvert sit in with them.  Leah is an accomplished musician well known throughout the Atlanta music scene for not only her voice, but her skills on the violin.  We’ve seen her play several times with the Dappled Grays and they are incredible.  Best of luck to this talented lady in her latest endeavors!

Thought some of you might enjoy a video that a friend and fellow photog sent out today.  Jason Morrison, otherwise know to me as “Dubtastic” posted this video he created today to Facebook.  Jason is a fantastic photographer and all around great guy.  He has been active in photography for about 5 years, mixing in his background and professional experience as a graphic designer.  His post production skills are I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E.  I was lucky to meet Jason at a South Atlanta Flickr meeting at Nash Farm Battlefield earlier this year.  The video and shoot was all done in and around Studio 42 in Locust Grove, Georgia.  I can’t recommend this studio enough.  I was out there last weekend for a shoot and had a great experience. I love having a studio that you can shoot in and then walk outside to some other interesting locations!  Enjoy the movie!

Ahhh……the wide open spaces of South Atlanta Flickr.  The talented Jason Morrison and Julie Harnage were nice enough to put together a fabulous afternoon for their photography friends and models.  With the use of three different studio setups and a little walk around the square in Locust Grove we were able get a great variety of shots.  This was a great experience (even though I was exhausted from yard work all morning) and  look forward to the next shoot (without the morning of yard work before the shoot).  : )
