You may remember Scott and Amber from a previous engagement session here on the blog a while back. A photographer truly can’t be more blessed to have such a gorgeous couple as clients……. and they couldn’t BE more charming. I know, I know…..good looks and good personality????
I met with Amber a few weeks ago during some of the last weeks of her first pregnancy and glowing is a complete understatement. She was no less than a beam of light! Just earlier today I was able to lay eyes on their precious pink little bundle for the first time….she is exactly one week old today. Best of luck to the new family. Here are a few photos from our maternity session:
The following shots were all Amber’s idea…..she wanted some pics of her with her favorite pregnancy cravings…..I love it!
Give that sweet little bundle a kiss for me guys!

I have so much fun shooting with this group. For those of you in the Atlanta area it is well worth the drive to shoot with the South Atlanta Flickr group. Props to Julie Harnage and Jason Morrison for always organizing professional models and fantastic make up artists to make the shoot extra special.

Thought some of you might enjoy a video that a friend and fellow photog sent out today. Jason Morrison, otherwise know to me as “Dubtastic” posted this video he created today to Facebook. Jason is a fantastic photographer and all around great guy. He has been active in photography for about 5 years, mixing in his background and professional experience as a graphic designer. His post production skills are I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. I was lucky to meet Jason at a South Atlanta Flickr meeting at Nash Farm Battlefield earlier this year. The video and shoot was all done in and around Studio 42 in Locust Grove, Georgia. I can’t recommend this studio enough. I was out there last weekend for a shoot and had a great experience. I love having a studio that you can shoot in and then walk outside to some other interesting locations! Enjoy the movie!

One year of wedded bliss is upon us. June 21, 2008 in Cashiers, North Carolina we were scurrying around tieing up last minute items and greeting out of towns guests, friends, and family. Hair was horrifically styled (which should never be discussed again : )), undone, and redone. I stepped into my dress, Rob into his suite, and went to meet with Parker (insanely talented photographer and a big inspiration to start taking my photography seriously) at the bridge. Only problem was…..there were two bridges in the area…..I was at one……Rob went to the other. Thanks to my older brother that clued him in and sent him to the right bridge! Below are the pictures that Parker took before the wedding. Let me repeat…..none of these are photos I took, but if you are looking for the nicest, most incredible, fabulous photographer give Parker a call. He won’t let you down. And as for my husband, well….he’s taken…and I’ll fight you for him!

How sweet is Rob? : ) I’m such a lucky girl…..

While passing by a garden on the way to our first photo destination, we had to stop and give our bride/groom version of “American Gothic”

We were lucky enough to have some of the most beautiful natural settings to photograph in…..the mountains up in North Carolina just really find a relaxing, calming, place deep in my soul. Rob and I both love it up there!

Nothin’ like swinging on a tree swing by a lake in your wedding dress to calm those preceremony jitters! After we took some photos it was back to the house for the ceremony. Buchanan Chimney Garden, just adjacent to our family home in Cashiers, NC was the site of the ceremony. It cold not have been more gorgeous.

Of course, the dogs were the ring bearers. They did a fabulous job….meet Frei (the little guy) and Charlie Brown.

Rob’s mom and Dad……his mother smiled like this throughout the entire ceremony! So cute!

Escape by golf cart!

Weddings are intense and frought with little details that can go wrong throughout the day (ie. your wedding coordinator collecting her check the day before the wedding and then not showing up for your wedding day without explanation). We certainly had our share of mishaps. That being said, the day ended with two people, in love, exchanging vows, and getting married. Rob is the most wonderful man I could ever hope to have in my life. He is my calming force, my rock, my kitchen McGyver, my pack mule, my concert buddy, scrim bitch (inside joke), my sweet sappy movie watching friend, and the love of my life. Happy Anniversary honey. I’d marry you all over again today.
Many thanks again to Parker J for all of the wonderful images from our wedding. Please check out his fine art photography here.

This weekend I had my fellow photog friends Julie Harnage and Melissa Holcomb up to the gorgeous mountains of Cashiers, NC for a maternity shootout extravaganza! We had such a great time and got some incredible shots…..I must say…..Julie did an amazing job modeling for us!
I think this one is my favorite so far….

We got a little silly in the field of daisies just outside of downtown Cashiers, NC….

You wouldn’t believe what a few photographers will do for a cool background shot…..we waded into the Ocoee River at up to about waist level with our cameras held over our heads across slippery rocks for this one!

Here’s a few behind the scenes pics from Melissa…..

Here are a few more that the talented Melissa took!

One last behind the scenes picture from Julie’s husband…..thanks for being such a trooper Matt! You’re lucky you escaped the girls photo weekend without us doing your hair or painting your toenails!!!

Also- fellow photographers….go check out Natalie Norton’s blog to register to win a new Camera Strap from Phat Strap! Natalie is a wonderful photographer based out of Hawaii and has a great blog that is one of my favorites!
