One year of wedded bliss is upon us. June 21, 2008 in Cashiers, North Carolina we were scurrying around tieing up last minute items and greeting out of towns guests, friends, and family. Hair was horrifically styled (which should never be discussed again : )), undone, and redone. I stepped into my dress, Rob into his suite, and went to meet with Parker (insanely talented photographer and a big inspiration to start taking my photography seriously) at the bridge. Only problem was…..there were two bridges in the area…..I was at one……Rob went to the other. Thanks to my older brother that clued him in and sent him to the right bridge! Below are the pictures that Parker took before the wedding. Let me repeat…..none of these are photos I took, but if you are looking for the nicest, most incredible, fabulous photographer give Parker a call. He won’t let you down. And as for my husband, well….he’s taken…and I’ll fight you for him!
How sweet is Rob? : ) I’m such a lucky girl…..
While passing by a garden on the way to our first photo destination, we had to stop and give our bride/groom version of “American Gothic”
We were lucky enough to have some of the most beautiful natural settings to photograph in…..the mountains up in North Carolina just really find a relaxing, calming, place deep in my soul. Rob and I both love it up there!
Nothin’ like swinging on a tree swing by a lake in your wedding dress to calm those preceremony jitters! After we took some photos it was back to the house for the ceremony. Buchanan Chimney Garden, just adjacent to our family home in Cashiers, NC was the site of the ceremony. It cold not have been more gorgeous.
Of course, the dogs were the ring bearers. They did a fabulous job….meet Frei (the little guy) and Charlie Brown.
Rob’s mom and Dad……his mother smiled like this throughout the entire ceremony! So cute!
Escape by golf cart!
Weddings are intense and frought with little details that can go wrong throughout the day (ie. your wedding coordinator collecting her check the day before the wedding and then not showing up for your wedding day without explanation). We certainly had our share of mishaps. That being said, the day ended with two people, in love, exchanging vows, and getting married. Rob is the most wonderful man I could ever hope to have in my life. He is my calming force, my rock, my kitchen McGyver, my pack mule, my concert buddy, scrim bitch (inside joke), my sweet sappy movie watching friend, and the love of my life. Happy Anniversary honey. I’d marry you all over again today.
Many thanks again to Parker J for all of the wonderful images from our wedding. Please check out his fine art photography here.
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! Happy first anniversary. Love you two!
Awwwww…….thanks guys!
