The concept is simple. Help others. Commit a selfless act. Get involved in your community. Give back. This world wide movement was started by the ridiculously talented Jeremy Cowart and has spread like WILDFIRE! Apparently, there are a LOT of you that want to give back to your community by participating. Groups all over the world are organizing to provide free portraits at their community centers, parks, school, etc. on December 12th, 2009 to families that are less fortunate.
I’m a member of the Atlanta based planning committee and site leader for the Midtown Atlanta location. We have partnered with Families First and already have 3 different locations in metro Atlanta, so we have lots of volunteer opportunities! If you are a photographer (beginner or professional) in the Atlanta Metro area and would like to be involved in this project locally you can sign up here.
